In addition to the regular food, meat vouchers and bags of potatoes were handed out from generous donors as well as Coats to the children from the Coats For Kids project organized by a local volunteers effort, and knit hats and scarves made by several groups or individuals. Our thanks goes out to these folks for their contributions.
With this many families being served and similar numbers being expected for December, we are in real need of:
- donations of soups
- breakfast cereals (ready to eat, instant hot cereal and cook and serve cereals
- pancake mixes
- canned fruits (peaches, pears, applesauce, pineapple),
- vegetables (corn, peas, green beans, baked beans),
- peanut butter
- canned tuna and chicken,
- pie fillings
- cake mixes
- baking needs.
Monetary donations are also needed and are used to make monthly needed purchases at the local grocers.
During this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we truly appreciate the generosity of each and every donor that helps out our mission in any way.
Blessings to you,
Esther E. Pries, Coordinator
