We had over 25 volunteers from 9 different churches in the community including 3 pastors and 1 Santa Claus helping in so many different ways. Through the generosity of community members, there were gifts for the children which were provided by members of the local congregations as well as the Knox Civic Club. Many churches, individuals and groups also donated food and other essentials as well as the cash donations which are always needed. Thrivent Financial, through their “Thrivent Action Team #Live Generously” campaign provided additional food and toiletries to all clients.
Suggested items for January distribution include:
- canned fruits
- dry boxed cereal
- instant cereal packets,
- Soups and crackers
- pasta sauces
- ready to eat canned items (pastas, chili, etc.) peanut butter, toilet tissue and facial tissue.
