On March 17, 2016, the Knox Caring Cupboard served 73 families during their regular monthly distribution. This included 28 Seniors, 90 Adults and 42 Children for a total of 160 individuals.
The Knox Civic Club donated Easter gift bags for all the children. A local farmer donated ground beef for all the recipients. Each family also received a $10.00 voucher to be used for meat purchase at Tom's Riverside, Knox. This was provided by Caring Cupboard funds.
Our next distribution day is April 21 from 10:00 AM until noon. Shelf stocking day is on April 14 and begins at 8:30 A.M. for anyone who wishes to help. We usually have the shelves stocked by 10:00.
Items needed for April include:
- Pasta sauces, peanut butter, boxed meals, breakfast cereal and pancake mix, Instant or cook and serve puddings, and of course toilet tissue and other non food items. Items can be dropped off at the Edenburg Presbyterian church on April 14 or arrangements can be made by calling one of the numbers listed below.
Our account funds are very low at this time so we are also conducting a campaign for cash donations from the community.
- Checks can be made payable to the Knox Caring Cupboard and mailed to:
1473 Route 208
Emlenton, PA 16373.
- Donations can also be made through your local church and designated for the "Knox Caring Cupboard".
Only with the participation of the local businesses, charitable organizations, churches and individuals are we able to continue this mission for our friends in need.
Thank You
